Central field static perimetry

Covering all essential needs

G & M patterns

Physiology-based central field testing

All Octopus perimeters offer the physiology-based G and M patterns for central field and macula testing. They are correlated with a nerve fiber bundle map and thus allow testing the points which are most important for a structure-function correlation.

HFA test patterns

For transitioning from HFA

The Octopus 600 offers standard central field test patterns including 24-2, 24-2C, 30-2, 10-2 that are used on the HFA perimeter. This allows for continuity of testing methodology when switching from a HFA perimeter.

TOP & Dynamic strategies

Fast testing strategies

The TOP and Dynamic strategies test the central field in just 2-4 or 6-8 minutes respectively. While the TOP strategy is more patient-friendly, as it starts in the suprathreshold level, the dynamic strategy is more accurate in identifying single, isolated defects.

White-on-white test

Standard testing parameters

The Octopus 600 perimeter offers white-on-white perimetry with a Goldmann III equivalent stimulus. Also referred to as Standard Automated Perimetry SAP.

Program selection

Offering a wide range of programs

The program selection offers a wider range of central field Octopus test parameters and additionally the most common HFA test pattern.
Standardize according to individual needs

Custom examination list

For consistent use of testing methodologies and easy delegation, the Octopus 600 allows creation of a custom examination list within the testing workflow. This is convenient and reduces operator errors. For easy communication, each test parameter set can be named according to a clinic’s needs.
